DIY Christmas Wreath

"Happy, merry, holly, jolly season's greetings here

I'm wondering what your family does at that time of year??"-Olaf

Hey, y’all!! I’m so excited that it’s finally the most wonderful time of the year!! Although I don’t have too many super cute crafts planned because we will be so busy with a toddler and newborn, Brooklyn and I did make some time to create something super special to show y’all!

My family loves to spend time bonding, especially around the holidays. Josh and I love decorating for Christmas and it's a passion that we have passed down to Brooklyn.

Brooklyn and I both love to craft, so this handprint wreath was absolutely perfect to work on together!

It’s super easy to make and looks cute mixed in with our other holiday decorations!!

Here’s what you’ll need…

SUPPLIES:

-Green and red felt

-Super glue or hot glue gun

-Ribbon

-Sharpie

-Cardboard

-Scissors

-Mickey head stencils or circle stencils

-Cute little hands to trace

And here’s what to do…

STEP ONE:

Cut the cardboard into a circle of any size you wish. This will be the back of your wreath and also stabilize the felt. At this time you can also make your own stencils for the berries. We obviously made ours Mickey Mouse shaped.

STEP TWO:

Use your stencils to trace your berries (or Mickey heads like we used) on the red felt. Then trace your little one's cute little hands on the green felt. Cut out all of your pieces.

STEP THREE:

Glue the green handprints on to the cardboard and fill out/shape the wreath any way you’d like. I used two shades of green to add a little depth. Then proceed to glue on the berries as well.

STEP FOUR:

Use the ribbon to create a bow and tie a little extra to hang if desired.

That’s it! You’re done!! You’ve now made an adorable and festive wreath with your little one! Whenever someone comes to our house, Brooklyn loves to show them what she made.

Happy crafting and Happy Holidays!
