Josh, Brooklyn, and I had the opportunity to visit LEGOLAND FLORIDA (and they so graciously hosted us) a couple of weeks ago and HOLY MOLY, we had the best time ever!
This year LEGOLAND is celebrating 10 happy years and encouraging adults to enjoy the time there with their little ones and #be10too. We visited both the theme park and the waterpark and I am so excited to share our experiences with you!
THEME PARK
The theme park is so immersive, you literally feel like you're a LEGO character! There are over 50 attractions and something for everyone! Our first stop was DUPLO VALLEY, a land made exclusively for toddlers and smaller kids. Brooklyn enjoyed the DUPLO tractor and train rides so much, we had to go on twice. There's also a baby station in this area, which is so convenient! We love! The schoolhouse is the cutest little indoor play area (with amazing air conditioning. Brooklyn did NOT want to leave, so we spent a lot of time allowing her to climb on the playgrounds, pretend to drive the school bus, and interact with other little ones. Finally, we cooled off in the DUPLO Splash and Play area.
Our next stop was lunch because the hanger was so real! We enjoyed the most delicious pizza from Pepper and Roni's Pizza Stop! Yum!! My husband definitely felt like a kid again and was so nostalgic because he used to have this pizza parlor as a LEGO set. HOW COOL IS THAT?!?! The pizza scored a 10/10 in our books!
Next stop, more attractions! Brooklyn LOVED the Grand Carousel and when I say loved, I mean the obsessive kind of love. She did not want to get off, so we went around and around and around quite a few times. She waived to everyone who wasn't on the carousel and the attendant working was so sweet and interactive with the guests. Safari Trek and Pharaoh's Revenge Land of Adventure were also up there on our must ride list.
This trip focused solely on things Brooklyn could do, but we can't wait to return and try out other attractions she was too short for this time around. For more info on attractions for kids of all sizes, I encourage you to check out the LEGOLAND website, https://www.legoland.com/florida/things-to-do/theme-park/rides-attractions/.
WATER PARK
Now don't get me wrong, the theme park was definitely amazing, but the water park was the highlight of our day!
Brooklyn enjoyed the DUPLO Splash Safari (which was a great size for social distancing families) and loved petting the giant LEGO brick animals. Unfortunately, she was a little timid and didn't want to slide down the toddler friendly water slide.
We took a few laps around the Build-A-Raft Lazy River and then on to the Joker Soaker!! This interactive play area has slides, a splash pad, climbing area, AND a giant bucket that fills up with water and splashes anyone in it's way. Brooklyn really enjoyed climbing and watching people down below get soaked.
We concluded our day in the LEGO Wave Pool. This pool is so cool!! The waves are family friendly, so all can enjoy this pool, however, always keep an eye on your littles! There are the cutest little islands you can sit on with LEGO palm trees AND get this...there are giant LEGO bricks floating in the pool!! Brooklyn loved to save the bricks when the waves would come.
CONCLUSION
There's seriously so much to do, see, and eat at LEGOLAND FLORIDA. We missed a few things because a full day with a toddler means you are moving slower, there might be a temper tantrum or two, and you absolutely have to allow them time to soak up all of the cool new sites and sounds!
We had an absolutely amazing experience at LEGOLAND FLORIDA and Josh and I definitely embraced our inner child and had just as much fun as Brooklyn did.
I strongly recommend y'all head on over to LEGOLAND FLORIDA for their year long 10th birthday celebration and #be10too!! Thanks again for hosting us, LEGOLAND FLORIDA!
